sue was gracious enough to watch ashlyn today while we were at work. halfway thru the work day i get an email attached with a video of ashlyn. here she is practicing her spanish roll.

cheery all morning

ashlyn woke up today with a big smile as i walked into her room to get her ready. she's been cheery all morning. here's ashlyn this morning while relaxing in our room.

features she takes after

several people have commented that ashlyn looks like will. i was able to locate a picture of us when we were kids to determine what features she takes after. it's amazing how much she resembles her dad.

ran across this and had to share...almost forgot we did this. before we had ashlyn, we did a trial version of what we thought our kid would look like using a program online. here's the image it came up with:

vibrant time of year

autumn is such a vibrant time of the year. my favorite season, actually.

holding herself up

so the pediatrician encouraged us to put ashlyn on her tummy every day (under supervision) so that she'll build up the necessary muscles in her neck, arms & back to be able to roll over and eventually crawl. so far she's been successful at holding herself up using her teeny arms.

turned three months

ashlyn turned three months today. we cant believe how much she has grown in these three months. god keep charge over you, baby girl.

into her routine

we still have more work to do in ashlyn's room, but she doesnt seem to mind. she's been sleeping in her room by herself for about two weeks now. she's doing real well -- her night starts at 8:30p and she usually wakes around 6a. she still has to adjust to daylight savings, but we think it wont be too long before she get's into her routine again.

the sound of music

we're finally starting to realize how responsive she is to what she sees and hears. my mom has been watching her while we're at work and is constantly telling us how attentive she is when the tv is on. at night, we also play a soothing lullaby cd (thanks xai!) to soothe her while sleeping.

today, while the band was practicing for christmas, she was happily listening to her daddy play. i had laid her on the ground and as the music was being played, she turned towards the sound of the music.

so excited she'll slide

she's so content when having her warm bath. sometimes she gets so excited she'll slide down her bath "chair" because she's kicking so much.

putting on a show

ashlyn is starting to smile and laugh. she's putting on a show here just after having a night of restful sleep.

joy of her new cousin

ashlyn shares in the joy of her new cousin, olivia. they look adorable together...ashlyn's older by 3 months.

down with a cold

ashlyn recently came down with a cold. she had it all...the stuffy nose, the coughing & sneezing, and the blocked tear duct. fortunately, she recovered quickly.
